We are here in this time and place because those who came before us relied, celebrated and insisted on creating a culture of medicine in their home, family and community. As the human race has matured and grown we have become more dependent on outside forces for our emotional, mental and spiritual wellbeing. Through out the years it has become more and more apparent to those who practice traditional medicines and arts as well as to our scientifically minded communities that something about modern life is not working
We are struggling with more lifestyle diseases, stress and trauma related dysfunctions and while modern medicine provides us with what was once thought of as medical miracles these inventions and discoveries are being dispatched at alarming rates of normalcy.
The services, learning opportunities and products featured through Crow & Owl are meant to help bring us back to creating healthy spaces in our homes, families, and communities by building our individual culture of medicine.
Come explore how traditions of the past can be used in our modern world to reduce stress, remove chronic pain due to inflammation and decrease feelings of dis-ease.

About Alexis
Hello and welcome, my name is Alexis Showers. It's a pleasure to have you here. Thank you for coming!
I am the daughter of an educator and historian. My ancestors are herbalists, midwives, farmers, Nordic and Mediterranean healers.
As a child my father's work afforded me the opportunities to live within indigenous cultures all over North and Central America. It was in these places that I learned the importance of community and family, ceremony, and to care for the bounty that mother earth provides so that we may live.
These experiences sparked my desire to not only learn traditional healing methods but to also investigate and learn the skills my ancestors used.
Today in my community I am known as a massage therapist, herbalist and spiritualist.
I carry these lessons and skills into my practice to help clients discover their divine nature and the sweet success of creating a culture of medicine in their home.
